FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS……AND STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW.
WHY SHOULD I JOIN USITA AND IS THERE AN APPLICATION OR MEMBERSHIP FEE?
Members of USITA Domino Division will have the opportunity to register for 10 QUALIFYING USITA tournaments MONTHLY on GameColony.com (you must be a player on Game Colony). The ENTRY FEE FOR THE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS WILL BE ONLY $1.00. THE PRIZE MONEY IS GREAT. FREE EXTRA $ TICKETS (SAME AS CASH) WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TOP 3 PLACES OF EACH QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT.
1st=50 FREE EXTRA $ TICKETS
2nd=25 FREE EXTRA $ TICKETS Note: FREE EXTRA $ TICKETS can immediately be converted to actual cash.
3rd=10 FREE EXTRA $ TICKETS
THERE IS NO APPLICATION FEE TO JOIN USITA BUT THE MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEE FOR THE DOMINO DIVISION IS $25.00.
WILL THE MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEE BE PRORATED IF NOT PAID ON OR BEFORE THE 1ST OF THE MONTH?
NO!!!! If you register in time to play in only one Qualifying Tournament for the month, your monthly membership fee will still be $25.00. (Playing in one tournament will allow you an opportunity to win and qualify to participate in the upcoming Major).
WHAT ABOUT REFUNDS?
There will be no membership fees refunded.
CAN I USE TICKETS WON ON GAME COLONY TOWARD A MEMBERSHIP FEE?
Yes you can. You can actually pay your monthly membership using any charge card, debit card or Paypal.
If you wish to pay your membership using tickets from Game Colony, from the home page, click on the “contact us” button and ask Game Colony to transfer 25 tickets to USITA for your monthly membership.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH FREE EXTRA $ TICKETS?
They can immediately be converted into cash or used to play other tournaments and/or mini tournaments
in any Game Colony room or arcade games.
WILL USITA MEMBERS BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN NON-USITA EVENTS AND HOW CAN I TELL IF ANOTHER PLAYER AT GAME COLONY IS A USITA MEMBER?
Yes they can. USITA members will be GREEN, not blue.
WHAT ARE QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS?
There will be 5 tournaments prior to each MAJOR called qualifying tournaments.
All Game Colony Players are allowed to participate in qualifying tournaments.
WHAT IS A MAJOR?
A MAJOR is a tournament held immediately after 5 Qualifying tournaments. All Game Colony players can play in a USITA MAJOR., however; ONLY CERTIFIED PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE FREE EXTRA TICKETS. A certified participant is a USITA member in good standings that has won or placed 2nd or 3rd in a Qualifying tournament. You may also qualify to participate in a MAJOR and be eligible for the free extra tickets if:
1. you have played in all 5 Qualifying tournaments
2. you have played in 4 Qualifying tournaments and paid 5 tickets to the TEAM FUND
3. you have played in 3 Qualifying tournaments and paid 10 tickets to the TEAM FUND
4. you have played in 2 Qualifying tournaments and paid 15 tickets to the TEAM FUND
5. you have played in 0-1 Qualifying tournaments and paid 20 tickets to the TEAM FUND
6. you are a non-USITA member and paid 25 tickets to the TEAM FUND
Note: Tickets transferred to participate in a MAJOR must show evidence of transfer prior to the beginning of the MAJOR..
1st=200 FREE EXTRA TICKETS (Remember Free Extra $ Tickets can be converted to cash immediately)
2nd=100 FREE EXTRA TICKETS
3rd= 25 FREE EXTRA TICKETS
WHAT ARE USITA TEAMS?
Captains were chosen and there were two drafts to form 5 teams. Provisions are now being made to
place new members on the teams. THE TOP TEAMS WILL SHARE IN A MONTHLY CASH POT OF NOT LESS THAN $500.
WILL ALL THE TOURNAMENTS BE ONE –ON-ONE?
Yes, however, plans are being made to have team tournaments. Start forming your team today.
WILL PLAYERS BE RATED?
YES!!! Players will be rated on points earned. Players will receive 1.5 points for every dollar won in all USITA Qualifying and Major tournaments only, and 7 points for each tournament entered. There will be no points earned in regular NON-QUALIFYING USITA tournaments. As you can see, emphasis is being placed on PARTICIPATION and WINNING.
WILL USITA EVER SPONSOR LIVE LAND BASED TOURNAMENTS?
Yes, the first one will be in Mesquite, NV on December 6, 2008.
